This site is about our heroes in the book 50 American Heroes Every Kid Should Meet. In each chapter we introduce you to a hero by telling you a story about his or her life and how it has affected ours. We know this is just the beginning for you and we have made this web site to help you continue to learn more.

Explore! – Here’s your chance to find out more about the heroes, through web site links and addresses of places where the hero’s work is still being done.

Dive In! - There are many great biographies and other books about the heroes. To really learn as much as you can, we recommend you read what others have written (and even what they have said about themselves, too.)

Power Words – Many, many people find inspiration and hope when they read what great men and women have said or have written. Power words are the quotations that stir us inside to want to be like our heroes.

More... – As we find more interesting fun facts and resources for you, we add them here.

No matter how you continue your journey of learning about these and other great heroes, we applaud your willingness to do so! Yea for you!
